ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

We strive to reduce or balance any impact we may have on the environment, promote local goods and services while maintaining a good standard of service.

We aim to encourage our guests, suppliers, and employees to reduce, re-use and recycle where possible.

Our goods are supplied without packaging whenever possible.

We try to buy locally, use fair-trade products and have a list of our suppliers for all to see.

We collect rain water and compost appropriately.

We endeavour to reduce energy usage by not leaving electrical goods on stand by, employ low energy light bulbs, timers, and we also opt for A rated goods if the choice is available.

We encourage visitors to use alternative forms of transports other than cars if possible.

We employee local people year round (not just seasonal) thus ensuring reliable employment on a fair wage.

Wildlife is encouraged in our small garden, and local goods are sold to raise funds for the Helford River Marine Voluntary Conservation area.

We have sponsored a local children's football team (Falmouth Town) since April 2004.
